Discovery & Competitive Edge PositioningStrategy is the key to admissions; we invest heavily at this phase to get to know our clients not just as they seem to be, but as they truly are and could become. This takes thoughtful, patient diagnosis and guidance on how to introspect productively. We use frameworks on top of coaching experience to extract all the possible threads, and then we leverage our experience to select the narratives and themes that – when executed correctly – deliver the highest impact on the client’s admissions chances. This service module includes questionnaires, analysis, a deep strategy phone call, and an Action Plan.
The Admissions Committee SimulatorWe create a simulated admissions decision between three candidates. One of these candidates is the current client, mid-way through the engagement (late enough that we have established a direction, but early enough that important feedback can be addressed). The primary consultant observes, and has a rare and unique opportunity to observe a frank discussion of how their client and their story is perceived. Is the intended message landing? Is it compelling enough? Part-way through the roundtable discussion, we bring in the primary consultant to then lead the rest of the discussion, focused solely on constructive ideation for the current client. These discussions can be difficult, illuminating, stressful, but always extremely valuable.

Our success rate exceeds 97% for students who collaborate with us on multiple school applications. This means that over 97% of our clients gain acceptance to at least one of the business schools they apply to with our assistance. On average, most individuals work with us on around 5 schools, targeting a range of competitive institutions. We have supported thousands of aspiring MBAs. While not all of them applied exclusively to M7 programs, a significant majority have.

How much time do I need to work with EdGo on my applications?

The amount of time needed to work with EdGo on your applications varies greatly and is tailored to each client's specific needs, timelines, and goals. We have worked with candidates who were able to complete their applications in just a few weeks, while others have chosen to work with us over the course of several years. On average, the timeline for our clients is typically around 3-6 months. We recommend that students give themselves a minimum of a couple of months before application deadlines to ensure they have ample time to devote to the process. It's important to consider that the application process can become quite demanding and time-consuming, especially as work and other commitments may also require attention. Ultimately, we work closely with our clients to develop a personalized timeline that aligns with their individual circumstances and goals, ensuring that they have the necessary time and support to create strong applications.

We understand that some individuals may seek guarantees, but as a professional and ethical firm, we do not offer them. Guarantees can be misleading and even unethical. We believe in maximizing each client's personal potential in the admissions process and applying to a smart, diverse range of schools to increase their chances of admission. We do not let success rates dictate our approach because they can create perverse incentives and compromise a student's potential. However, we are proud to share that our success rate is well over 96% for clients who work with us at the Gold Package level on multiple schools. This means that over 96% of our clients gain admission to at least one of the schools they apply to with our guidance. Our overall acceptance rates are 2.5 to 3 times higher than the schools' rates. For instance, we have achieved a 32% acceptance rate for HBS over the past five years, which is significantly higher than the average volume. Comparing numbers can only get one so far, though, and we'd encourage you not to limit your decision to that.
